  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Jarred, is the loaner still available, and available to January scarleters? I know it was before only to the first 2 day people, but we are waiting almost as long as they are.

Please don't stop communicating, Jarred. I really appreciate all the updates. I know I'm new here and I'm no one important, but I sold all my gear to get in line for a Scarlet-W. I switched to RED for two reasons: their attention to quality and their interaction with the community.

Some of the people here have no idea what it's like with other companies, to wait for a year for a product that never gets shipped in any quantity when it was supposed to, with no communication whatsoever from the company, and then finally gets shipped with less features than promised and with a lot of bugs. I've been through that with a company that shall remain nameless and it's not fun.

So I am so happy knowing my camera is going to be done properly, not rushed, and that I'll be getting updates by the head guys every month. I'm good with that. Thank you!

I am brave!! My finger keeps hovering over the "buy now" button on the Weapon quote I have in hand....but I keep wondering where that Helium powered Epic-W will settle in the lineup....hmmmm.

Well said.

I check Reduser daily for any posts from Jim, Jarred, Brent and a few others. It's always nice to get an update from Red, even its about delays. We all love to be informed and I'd say that Red does a damn good job with the updates. Please keep it up. There are so many silent readers that appreciate being in the know.

Just want to put out there to Jarred that most of us really do appreciate the communication. The loaner program has been phenomenal for me this year as you guys really got me out of a few jams. After learning about the loaner program, I paid the total remaining amount for my Scarlet-W to my Red account, and even though that was months ago, and I plan on keeping it there just to be respectful. Andrei is completely right, take 1) Quick 2) Excellent 3) Cheap and pick two. Fairly confident I picked the correct two.

My only regret is not putting a deposit down on a Raven so that I could have switched to SW :D

Hey man how do you pay the rest into your account, Iv wanted to do that for a while because I'm moving and moving the money between accounts is silly? Any info on how to put the balance onto your account?

Just contact your Rep, then you can pay in full.

I paid for my Scarlet-W in full a few weeks ago.

Jarred... Just focus on the 99.9 percent that are happy with RED... Don't quick on us on communication... Jim did it for some similar situation at one point in the past.... Don't get there Please!

Would it be possible to know before October if the "helium" will require an existing camera to get to it or if it will be an entirely separate beast?

Like everyone else here, I'd love to have my SW. But this week we rocked 2 Epics and and 2 week old Raven and the footage is awesome.

Just keep shooting, and these cams will be here soon!
 
Jarred, maybe us Dec 10th Scarlet-W guys can get bumped to the front of Epic-W? Clearly we wanted to jump immediately into the new camera when the Scarlet-W was announced! ;)

You guys have me thinking about doing the same thing now. :)

If nothing else, it would probably make the transition from allocated to shipping happen more quickly.

Not sure if I'll get answered, but will day one Scarlet-w orderers who are still waiting get the option to switch over to Epic-Helium?

Will we get specs for Helium as well? I mean, I don't think I have the money to go Helium in this small window by buying a whole new camera for myself, but it would be nice to get some specs and price point. Also, if Helium kicks off in October, does that mean upgrades will start then or orders for upgrades starts then?
