6 years ago we knew nothing. We started from scratch. From zero.

Over the past few years we have been building a library... one that can be built upon.

Every day that goes by we learn something. We log it in and move forward... compiling.

I expect it won't be long before we actually know what we are doing... :-)

Thanks for your patience. In return... we'll upgrade you. N/C.

I like upgrades; even better, its a RED upgrade.

Is it just me or do others find that Jim posting at 12:45am freaking awesome?

Thanks Jim!

Neither Jarred nor I sleep when critical stuff is happening... which is most of the time. :-)

Thanks for clearing that up…… (Where can I get a library card for the red library) :-) :ihih:

I wouldn't sleep either If I was inventing cinema cameras left and right!
Cheers to you and everyone at RED!

This is great. Even though a job layoff is forcing me to cancel the Scarlet purchase I have been looking forward to for years, I'm happy for the people who will be able to benefit from this. And of course I still get to play with footage from other people's cameras.

I'm not sure what other camera company has people up worrying about this stuff at 0-dark 30.

Jim

RED designs cameras while the competition sleeps, ........Literally!

I truly cannot wait to see what sort of amazing devices RED will have made over the next six years and further into the future. If six years ago, RED knew nothing about what they were doing, then I'm sure that six years from now you'll have made some mind-blowing achievements in camera tech.

I always think about how fortunate I am to be growing up at a time like this when really incredible things are happening in the fields of science and technology. I'm very thankful that there are companies like RED who innovate beyond anything else that exists so that people like me have the opportunity to capture moments and record spectacular images (yes, I'm thinking about Scarlet). :-)

Ted said something that I found rather interesting at the open house last Wednesday. He was talking about how independent filmmakers today have the same cameras in their closets that Hollywood is using to shoot their multi-million dollar budget films. After thinking about how profound that statement was, it's a pretty incredible thought when you consider it. That we now have the chance too shoot our projects on the same cameras that are being used to shoot the huge Hollywood films. I find that amazing.

Thank you for creating equipment that no one else has been able to come up with or make as accessible as you have. I'm really looking forward to what you do next. =D
