I often unknowingly frame up with my hands.. not cuz I'm trying to figure out a lens to use LOL.. but to see the shot in my head..

like talking with the hands... creatives do it..


but if I saw someone POSING for a photo like that.... then yah.. id punch their Jaw bone

I agree, I usually do it to help me focus on what's going in the frame when the camera isn't in hand. I can't see it in use to judge the focal length. But if I see it in a photo on facebook, then it would anger me greatly.
