  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

The List - Please maintain

If it takes 15min to make then thats 32 cameras a day (assuming 8hour workday) with multiple lanes say 2 thats 64 cameras.
64 cameras with say 3 days of QC'ing means 21 cameras go out a day.
I'd say Dec 14th is when they have shipped ~300 scarlets.
3 lanes then thats 32 Cameras a day meaning Dec 9th they ship 300 scarlets.

I am probably 99.99% wrong but it killed time from me refreshing my email and sending off an email to the reps about asking some question they are sick of answering.

I'd think it'd be one lane right now...but given to get the 300 Scarlets out and a good number of the first hour scarlets...you probably are right on the 2 lanes maybe 3...
So that would mean Dec 18th 600 or Dec 28th 600...not bad really...so lets go worst case scenario...first 600 by 2011 end? :P

This is one of those times I dont want to be right.

I'd sure love to send some gifts to santas little helpers in Irvine :) I hope they understand our appreciation at what they are doing. I know its a line job and maybe not the best...but many people are counting on them to do a thorough and complete job. Let Mike, John Susy, Becka, Jose or whoever it is working on my camera, let them know I am appreciative. What they are doing actually has bearing and meaning in my life as well as others, so Jim and Jarred please let them know that.

I think someone has ballsed up the sorting so it's no longer showing people who went to the red event at the head of the line

Something about it being ordered in the calculated shipping placement on one of the posts above...don't understand the math but seems to make a bit of sense

Edit:

I'm worried to delete the second 1022 order, is there a reasoning to it? I remember putting myself in but realized there is another 1022 order so...

I would chime in and say that the 300 people at the Red Event doesn't necessarily translate to 300 scarlets ordered. I think there were a fair few epic owners/buyers there just out of interest, plus some teams/partnerships who might only be looking for one cam between them. And I daresay a couple of people who went there with a smaller check in their pocket.

I'm sorting by this logic in my "Calculated Shipping Order"

1) PL 300 (By Order #)
v
2) PL (until Al Canon started shipping)
v
3) Al 300 (By Order #)
v
4) All by order number
v
5) Delayed Ti Canon by about a week.

I think that's the order that they're shipping in. So if you sort by the column off to the right called "calculated shipping order" it should be about right.

Looking good. can't wait to see these light up in color!

Brian Scheckelhoff is my rep he is awesome! He has kept me updated on every step of the way.

Brian is my rep as well. Seemed very overwhelmed a few times I've called, but I reached out again the other day. While he didn't have a bunch of new things to report, he really wants to help and will spend the time to answer any question. Unfortunately I don't think many of the bomb squad reps can really touch on shipping dates until the shipping department processes that so we are all at the mercy of the other departments, including the bomb squad.

True but we are going worse case scenario here..

Which is why earlier in the thread I said that we may have missed out say 280 people that didn't want to add to the list and say they were at the event, companies etc.

The list is voluntary so we won't get everyone and 7 names for Al mount alone seems like a pretty small amount for the 300 there... but once again, everything is speculating

Speculate for the worst hope for the best...keeps your excitement levels in check and lets RED surprise you

You are right though, I realize not everyone had ordered...then again Jeff Lower does point out, some may have ordered more than one which just means that its just as good as those not ordering, ordering...

Anyhow, speculating to help time pass...I wonder when non-red event Al's will start...

Perhaps start a friendly betting poll? :P

I'm damn excited though if I get mine early, I really would love to throw the SpaceCam mount on and take it out for a spin until I get my lenses in order

For those who have had their Scarlet shipped, is it the whole package with all the components included or are some components still on backorder when they ship it out?

read around, some people have just got LCDs and so on but most don't seem to have the side handle, at least thats what I see is the common factor, SSDs etc. seem to be no problem
