  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

If I just bought 4 Scarlets I think my bank account would feel quite differently from winning the lottery. ;)

So have no Aluminum Canon mounts gone out since Monday? I hope a whole bunch of event goers who aren't online got theirs or this was a little down time to get new equipment online. :P

On here like 2 or 3...who knows how many for real.

My bank account would feel that way as well. I somewhat wish they would've limited the amount you could order per person for atleast a "phase" of orders.

I agree and disagree...All i know is that I would like to have my camera.

I hope so too. I'm guessing 1200 went out before 1310, and it's just that the happy owner isn't looking back - I'd probably be the same.
 
I am not sure if this has been mentioned, but by the list it looks like pl orders have their own line? They keep getting sent out despite the amount of canon cameras infront of them. I am about 16 pl cameras down the line so if this continues that doesnt seem too far away.
 
Just updated the list with a Canon AL mount, Redmote and battery quickplate

I'm wondering how many people who ordered the 'kits' are getting semi filled orders, perhaps not even usable due to missing parts?
Personally I'd rather have an unusable camera sit in irvine rather than using up its warrantee as a paper weight at my place.

Yeah they could be but by that logic that'd mean when Al mounts start coming out in Force so will Ti and so it wouldn't really have made a difference ordering one or the other...

Al is apparently easier to mold or well less harder to mold then Ti or so RED says (I THINK that was the gist of what was the bottleneck with the Ti)

Either way though I have to say, it does appear that PL has its own line considering they are going out in force and RED did say that the camera is put together with mount included so you couldn't take possession without the mount or side ssd


We'll see pre-christmas though since Jarred did say if you ordered within the first hour (unsure if thats from 7 or from when online orders started, which looks like the bulk was around 7.30/8) you have a VERY good chance of christmas time being awesome, though it is again a CHANCE so...don't think much needs to be read into it...

I'd guess that rush should start either this week or monday next...hoping this monday though...


EDIT:

Can we order the list so all those at the event are at the bottom? Would make more sense really... Don't want to touch the sorting myself incase something goes wrong so... if anyone knows how, would be great :smile:

I'm actually surprised the first YES for Al mount hasn't gone RED yet but further up the list those have...

I've got the batteries/charger and redstation redmag from my Scarlet order.
I canceled the 64GB SSD since I bought a 4 pack and the RED 5" touch screen since I bought one used.
Just need the Scarlet body and side handle - both backordered big time apparently...

did you have to call them to ship out the individual pieces of your kit?
 
I think one of the best indication to figure out a rough time of when your camera will come will be based on serial numbers shipped per week. We can get a rough idea once the online orders start going out. It's likely in the 8pm-10 pm range will be mainly camera orders and not accessories, as it was pain in the ass to get through.

I just hope we a see a flood of AL mount going out this week with SO #850 and up. It will mean that all the unknown orders will likely have been filled. It could be a sad christmas :(
 
Yea, but like I mentioned earlier, the 'list' needs a column that indicated if they shipped enough stuff to take pictures with the camera !!
looking at the data right now, we have no idea what the level of order completeness is .... just the camera body is a paper weight IMO.
