Thanks for the insight Sean. Which version of the 16-35 was it the f4 of f2.8 II. Just interested which you prefer.

Let me be the first, here anyways, to congratulate Andy and Sean, on a very nicely produced piece, as well as John, your gear is beautifully showcased, as is befitting of the Gates product. And hard to watch Shark Week without seeing Andy at every turn, great stuff, very dedicated shark conservation guy, these days we need folks like him more than ever.
Just a few technical questions for Sean; I noticed some vignetting and edge softness on a few of the shots, was that done for artistic effect, or is that a result of narrow DOF for underwater low light?
I know we've beat this subject to death here on this thread, and Johnny and others have had some very valuable insights in the past, but with Dragon 6K and H2OLPF, I think it deserves revisiting.
Any chance we could get a rundown on lenses, camera settings, and water conditions Sean?
Congrats in order, very nice piece!

My favorite shot from that trip: Frazier Nivens with Hammerhead (and AquaVideo housing - Hammer tough!:wink5A few of us here went diving with the Great Hammerheads a couple of years ago, UK photographer John Bantin was with us on that trip. The BBC has just published an online piece about John here, included are some pics from that trip;

Very cool John, that's a lot of knowledge packed into three amigos, wish I could attend. All the best, Tom. Sorry, four![]()
