  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

absolutely....these guys were swimming in circles for days and never passing close...so had to claw my way up to meet them at a fast pace with gas expanding in my counterlungs.....finally got a shot i wanted which was hammerheads filling the frame.

PPO2 Crash, Autoexpand Counterlungs, Wing wanting to blast you to surface. Yes LOL.

CCR makes you limited by reasonable bounds of what you can do.
 
Greg: with time and practise you can do such things. I however would not be the one to recommend such things....but when something like that happens:
*see fish
*bang up PPO2
*dump air in counter lungs to half
*dump air in wing
....skyrocket to your source. Nothing in underwater CC diving photography makes sense to well mannered tech divers and the like....i continually break the rules but with purpose and previous knowledge/experience.....But yes, we are bound by a few things....such as pure o2 and depth that comes to mind when no He.
 
Well I mean I have no qualms about just doing a full exhale and injecting a ton of O2 to get up 10m in a hurry to film something but thats about the extent of what I am willing to do. Though I am also battling my counterlungs/drysuit/wing...

I just figure its not worth it most of the time I am out there enough I can always get what I want eventually without risking myself. Safety is priority over anything and I ruin alot of shots for that exact reason.

The one on the left is obviously preggars, I saw her last tuesday too. My friend with the clipped tail did not show up though. that female sure liked me and bob.

My upgrade should be free Rudi as I bought my Epic-X way too expensive ;-)
And also because of the former $50K+ "program".
But I do owe you a lot :)))

I only meant the article :) and actually, and I don't doubt that Jim will do good on his word as he always has, but I have not seen it anywhere confirmed that indeed you $50K guys will pay nothing, so a confirmation will of course be a nice thing to have....
 
I think the red leader said all cameras going underwater get a free dragon sensor upgrade .....if memory serves me correct. You just need to send in a pic of you diving with your epic...again, memory faint on this, seems that's what came to me in my sleep last night.

Thats the hardest part is getting photos of yourself :( its all but impossible as the camera is in your hands LOL

The Dragon was offered as a free upgrade for a short period if you bought an Epic-X (or M) and the invoice was higher than $50K. When they dropped the Epic price, they also cancelled this free upgrade-path.
but true, all underwater Epics/Scarlets should get free upgrades ;-)

I think the whole thing started as a result of some undocumented species of mushrooms that grow near Johnny's house in Baja...
