  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

TERADEK Cube/Bundle - Group Buy!

Will there be discount on anything other than the Cube or the Cubelets? i.e. Will the 25% discount apply to power cables or the Multicast License or Mpeg Streaming Software, an entire purchase order, or just the main units?

Anyone buying, remember this Thursday the 16th is the last day.

This would be very nice to know. Im putting my order through today and the right answer means I can squeeze more stuff into my credit card limit!
 
Well, I tried several times to order 3 units, but for some reason the payment cannot be made, not by CC or Paypal.......

Apparently it is not possible to order from Thailand.....
To bad, missing out on a good deal!

sorry boys, credit card company here is dicking me around when it comes to spending more than a few thousand bucks from one vendor overseas. Had to limit myself to one transmitter and miss out on the bundle.

Mucho depressed.

It depends. The decoder has way better latency. Important to some people. The iPad is so small and convenient, but comes with a big latency. I think the decoder is a better product, so if you don't have the iPad yet, buy a decoder.

Up to you - we support from 200kbps (ugly even at 480p) to 6Mbps over Wifi, or up to 12Mbps over Ethernet(B-Ray quality).

Yes, very simple to setup.

Please comment specifically on the capabilities of the Cube encoder/decoder in terms of supporting accurate RP188 Timecode and Filename support and syncability with other cubes etc...

Hi Jodie

Not ignoring on this, still looking into quantifying accuracy of RP188 out. But I can confirm we will be adding RP188 out shortly. Oh, and we are adding .mov / timecode track support to the proxy files as well. This will be super handy, as I'm sure you all can imagine :-)

A well ,what the heck. The discount (whatever it turns out to be) will be applied towards Cubits (Cube bits, get it ? :-) too. So e.g. 25% of your whole order. Get a T-Shirt while you're at it :-)

BUT PLEASE NOTE, DISCOUNT WILL NOT BE APPLIED TO HDMI UNITS

Thanks everyone for your interest so far ! It look's great and based on the number of units on Jason's list, we're already in the 10% bracket, and it's quite feasible we get to 20% off.

A few important points:
1. please go to http://store.teradek.com, and order your unit(s). Use the coupon code when you check out. Your CC will be authorized, but not charged. This is the definitive list, and we need everyone to do this before we actually close the promo.

2. This does not extend to HDMI units. Keep your eyes open if you are in need of one of those, we will be running a different promo on that soon.

3. The discount (e.g. 10%, 20%, whatever it turns out to be) will be applied to your whole order, so get some Cubits while you're out there.

There is still more activity after a week into this than I expected. Should we run till Monday ? The upside is we might reach 50 pcs, the downside is it pushes out when we ship. We will ship in the sequence in which people ordered, and given the number of units it might take us a few days to get them out, so I don't want to extend unless everyone is okay with it. Pls let us know by DM'ing Jason who will keep count.

My vote is for extending the sale! Personally we can go without ours a little longer, seeing as I never knew I needed it so much until it was created ;) ... especially if it means more peoples purchasing will push the discount up! Plus then maybe you guys with overseas trouble can still get in on it?
 
Nicol, I would appreciate you extending the deadline til monday :) It will give me time to harass my CC company into letting me order more! (I have emailed the support@teradek.com address asking to change my order, is that something that can be done?)

Would really love the opportunity to get the decoder aswell!
