  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Teradek Announces 3 NEW Bolt Pro Wireless Video Transmitters for NAB 2014

Thanks for these updates, Mike.

Out of curiosity, is it possible to pair different model receivers to a particular Tx (ie mix and match)? For example, i was thinking about going with the Bolt 600 Tx/Rx package, but would like an additional receiver for use closer to camera (focus monitor, etc)...could i buy an additional 300 Rx and pair it to the 600 Tx? I'm guessing not if there's a new RF design but would love if we have this kind of versatility across the Bolt lineup. Let me know when you have a moment...

Best,
Clint

So no upgrades from a current uni or multicast normal bolt to a bolt 600 possible for example?

Hey Max,

No, there are no upgrades for existing Bolt Pro units. Only Bolt Pro 2000 users are eligible for upgrades.

Hey Clint,

Each model (300, 600, 2000) is only compatible with its own receivers. Thus, you cannot pair a 300 to a 600 system. They all use separate chipsets so cross-compatibility will likely never be possible.

hello Mike,

will it be possible to pair the current pro transmitter with the new receivers?
In order to be able to use a more silent receiver, as the current version does not always shuts down its fan ( even with the new software 2.2.0). Or will there be an update/upgrade possible to a fan-less receiver?

best,

Anton,

The original Bolt Pro already has a new receiver shipping that is both fan-less and more sturdy. You can upgrade to that for $250 -- just email sales@teradek.com

Yup - bad ass stuff.

Now I guess if I was sending a feed to Directors monitor, I just make sure its close to a cpu correct?

I wonder if this works on other means such as displays with recorders.

Well ... what would you say to a Small HD + Teradek project that is an APPLIANCE for rapid copying, checksum and transferring files via USB 3 to and from whatever reader or drive you plugged into - and it would also record video wireless for you if you plugged in a BOLT w/GRAB engine.

Think NETO NSB-25 - (http://www.nextodiusa.com/product/NSB-25/en_nsb25.html) but SMALLER - and FASTER - no drives or readers or trays - just UBS3s in and out + WIFI + 7" monitor for live video+UI+playback -

Would you like that ??
