  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Steve Jobs is dead

...

In order to steer Apple into historic profitability however, Apple has now become what IBM was 35 years ago....
That is not a slam, just an observation...

I hope an aspiring young person somewhere follows in his original footsteps to return the
PC (PERSONAL Computer) back to the little people instead of the Corporate Cloud...

I am all for the little guys against the Big Machines, especially when it comes to personal data and account security...

Hopefully this happens within Apple, but if not, I look forward to the new minds out there somewhere cooking up
next generation truly Personal Computing that keeps the big machines at bay...

Save it for another day.

Jim I know you knew Steve and I am sorry for your loss and for his friends and family...lost but never forgotten. His legacy will continue to inspire us. My sincere condolences...be well Jim.

STEVE JOBS

STEVE JOBS

My life would not be the same.

The world would be an ugly place both aesthetically and cerebrally if we only had windows.

My mind could not function in any other tool or software space.

My potential as a human being, a creator, an educator, a thinker would have been lessened without this great man.

Rest in peace, because you have given us so much peace of mind and spirit.

Sincerely thank you STEVE!

With Steve Jobs the world lost one of the greatest visionairy and entrepeneur poeple ever.

Despite many Apple friends original believe after he quit recently his job he's been there at Apple nearly until his own end as we all know now.

He really lived for his dreams. So should we for ours. Thats one lessen we can learn from him.

Rest in peace!

... It's another day over here, sorry to offend you Terry...

I think Steve Jobs Remembered (1955-2011), is a better title for the Thread as I am not a fan of the description "Dead"...

I was posting some of my first thoughts, if that's OK. We all react differently to sad news, some of us long for days past...

Best wishes.

My very first moments on a computer were sitting in front of a black Bell & Howell Apple ][ + in Jr. High.

Somebody had loaded a Flight Simulator on it and renamed it Dream Weaver. From that moment on, my life changed. Nearly every single thing in my life is touched someway by a product from Steve's genius. Even my license plate on my car was MACNTSH for years.

Thank you Mr. Jobs, you will be sorely missed.

Very sad day. Steve is gone. I liked him very much. He was a really visionary man and also charismatic spirit of Apple. We will all miss him very much. My condolences to his family and friends.

steve jobs is the greatest visionary of our era. he is truly the most inspiring person i have ever admired. his dedication to making things better is awesome. it is really a sad sad day today. america has lost one of it's greatest all time innovators. i am glad he lived long enough for apple to be crowned king. man, was that guy good.

His life can make us proud as humans of what a single man can achieve.

His death should make us humble, because we have to accept that all the money in world can't save you in the end.

Rest in peace!

He made an area where I can work and create. If there is any justice in the world, a small spark of his imagination will be imbued upon us all,

Thank you Steve.

It was inevitably clear that his coming day was imminent, just by looking at his last appearances, He was horribly skinny and sick looking, I know sickness...

SO VERY SAD... :(

FAREWELL to you Steve...

Edit...

Need to say I was pleased to see how He was aknoledged on the Apple site...

R.I.P Mister Jobs. You were a true visionnary, maybe a bit too much a visionnary, but a true genius too. Thanks for everything you did. You deserve to rest in PEACE. My thoughts also are with your family and friends.

(and thanks for inspiring so much people in the industry, like someone called Jim Jannard)

Heroes are remembered - legends live forever! I will stay hungry and foolish in rememberance of Steves charismatic and inspiring being. I feel honored to have lived in the time when he was among us. He will forever be written into history as one of our time's great innovators. Rest in piece Steve.

A sad, sad day. May he rest in peace.

It's ironic that so many people have found out about the passing of Steve on devices that he has brought to the market.

Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.

Steve Jobs has changed many of our lives, mine included.

RIP Steve

May Steve rest in peace.. And thank you for the products that enable me to earn a good living for my family.
