Stealing DP Credits Shamelessly - sad.

Good find and research, Richie. I feel bad for those that have been affected. Karma has hit him hard and he won't be getting work anytime soon. I sent him an e-mail as well.

Fuck me. Some one trying to claim Dariusz Wolski's work as their own?

I have had other production companies put my work on their website and try to claim it as their own and it took me a couple of years to discover it and shut them down. But to claim one of the best DOP's in the world as their own work is absolutely ridiculous.

Thank fully our industry is so small that everyone knows in the top end of town knows who shoots what and who produces/directs.

The problem is that dickheads like affect the cheaper end of town or the small business looking at making a corporate video or a band looking to make a cool music video. They are expecting to get a result that looks like Dariusz's work which costs hundreds of thousands of dollars to produce. And this guy is probably promising them the same result for a fraction of the price.

To me this is identity theft and should be treated as that.

I saw this yesterday. Pretty ridiculous if you think you can get away w this in such a small industry.

I worked w Alex on a Short I was besting called Quite. He was a camera PA or something. Didn't really chat w him at all, but saw his picture, the work he had on his reel, and instantly knew it was fake.

I actually work for DP Jonathan Sela quite a lot, Alex had a few music videos that I worked on w Sela on his website a few days ago, but took em down due to the craiglist attack.
I also work for Frederick Jacobi (the taylor swift video) as well.

Idiot.

Oh.....spread the word and assist Alex to discover his true calling: working at the take-out window at McDonalds.
