Hello everybody,

I am new in that forum and quite new to RED.
Is there any solution to have a simple external start stop button for the Epic MX ? No Redmote, Foolcontrol etc, just a button ?
I have searched but did not find a proper solution.
Thank you for your help.

Best

Carsten

or can brew you own if you know how to solder a 3V battery to a diode and switch (info is in the red dsmc manual to trigger start stop on sync port and discussed on several threads here on reduser...)
I adapted my aaton wooden handles on the EPIC... and can help with instructions if you want to do something similar. On dsmc2 with a jetpack the trigger can now be a simple close / open circuit but on dsmc 1 it requires a 3V signal.

Thanks both, this was fast ! I probably start with the soldering solution first as indeed its the cheapest. Thanks again !
Carsten

@ Mikael: BTW: Have you heard any news about the DroKnob V3 ? If yes please PM, as this is probably the wrong thread.

Hi Carsten
Yeah, its pretty simple to do. Take a look at Ops guide, there is a circuit there. You can skip the LED if you like, but do not skip the capacitor otherwise you may see false stops or multiple starts.
