  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Looks like there is something in the water... Alot of angry people at the world lately.

As usual, god forbid someone asks a question, that doesn't fall in line with the official party line, such as +1 or me too. All of a sudden I'm the grumpy one:-)
I'm happy, that finally Red doesn't force users into buying unnecessary and expensive hardware. Does that sounds like I'm unhappy about it?
My real questions is this:
Why it took you so long?

Quadro

Quadro

Super news.....Will Quadro 6000 be good enough for this...

Thanks

Wow, what a brilliant move.

I remember some discussion long ago that the debayer process does not fit well with the way GPU processing works. So I didn't see this coming :) It is really outstanding that you were able to make this happen.

This removes the last big complaint that we have seen out in the field. A really huge step forward.

This is great news for me .Thanks Red team

Single Titan 6K @ 24fps. Rocket will be still be alot faster.. but it becomes more of a luxury rather than a necessity.

Heh! I knew I installed this Titan for a reason :) Was even thinking of making it two:

This is a happy surprise for everybody. Like everybody should have a dance party or something. For reals.

We all know Red revolutionised cameras for our industry but sometimes we overlook Red has begun to revolutionised Post workflow as well. Great news.

Jake... You are not just asking a question, you are kinda being a dick. Knock it off. I love your work.. I'm a big fan. You have a ton of talent at what you do, no reason to act like a jackass.

Condescending posts and backhanded compliments are way above you.

There is enough drama going around right now.. so why don't you just chill?

I hope 1 extra frame won't knock down the GPU. It would be so uncool for us European.

Jarred, does Redcine 19 works with only newer GPU, or like the Adobe workaround there will be a list of tweakable GPUs ? For older cards ?
Having several fast GPU right now, I'm not sure I want to get 3 Titan instead of a Rocket (which would be the same price). I'm good with my 3 GTX590.

Does it do even 6k 25fps or "only 24p"? As here in Europe 25p is pretty much the standard.

heh heh sorry Bjorn.. not limited to 24fps. it was playing back at 24fps full speed because thats what the clip demonstrated was recorded at.

Stop asking for dates.. you're not even supposed to know about it yet :)

Here's an interesting question that's not a date related thing. Does having say more than one GPU help out a bit :)
