  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Something New....

RC42 4k 2:1 and will offload at ~4x realtime.
 
BTW.. I like the RED Bolts on the EPIC!!

These are Custom RED SSDs. Off-the-Shelf SSD's do not have a high enough wear rate on their connectors.

You will need the RED STATION to read them, and like Deanan mentioned, they are wicked fast.. as our Media always is :)

Wow .. Wasn't expecting that high
Just a general question... Why RED media always 3X expensive compared to third party SSD?

Nice, would have ordered the SSD reader together with my Station and CF Reader, but still no available ;(

Look forward to upgrade both R1's to the new SSD's and for sure get them for all the EPIC-X too, but I do think I will definitively want to keep the CF Module as well.. I think ;)

Ketch, unfortunately Jarred said a few months back that the red bolts were a feature only for his cameras, but I am all for pushing the issue to see what we can get. Maybe an accessory kit since the side panels are removable anyway?

Jarred, care to share the RED bolts with us?

He he, no problem there.. I have more then one friend that does customized Allen Bolts, any color and anodized super well against Rust, but will like the option to get them form RED ;).

EDIT: Dam Jarred is fast.. he he.
 
so, if the Epic SSD module costs an extra $2500, what is the media module that comes with our Stage 2 package?

CF Module Shawn just like on the R1, but hopefully we can have this too as an UPGRADE, were we don't pay the full $2,500 but the difference form the Cost of the CF to the 1.8 SSD.

um, you are going off old announcements, before CF was EOL'd by Red. I'd be pretty surprised, based off of tonight's announcements, if Epic actually shipped with a CF module
