  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Thanks Scott. I actually think it is possible to get good colors and skintones from the MX if you shoot for it... :)

Yes! I know. Grading skills and knowledge of color help too. :-)

Your economy of language extends beyond your photography. I appreciate that. Come to think of it, your command of english may be better than that of 75% of Americans. In addition to these two, how many other languages do you speak?

In addition to photography and English?

I speak Norwegian, and I am educated in music.

I can get beers and say thank you and food and something to eat in a few others.

And I have been related to theatre most of my life.

There are two languages I can read better than I speak or understand when spoken.

And I would love to learn Chinese, Arabic and become better at editing...

If that covers your question

It does.

What is your musical instrument? Do you play it as well as your Reds?

By any chance have you gone to the Ice Music Festival?

Haven't been there, but as a former Norwegian drummer, I know about Terje Isungset and his projects.
He is an innovative guy and an excellent musician.

I do not play anymore, but I have started mixing a bit of audio again the last year.

This image is from a beta/early Epic-M under Tungsten and WB'ed for development at 5600 and just edited with mostly primary-tools from there (except for removing a few skin-things)

I still struggle a bit with the general assumption about MX and bad skintones, even though color and life in skin are two of my main reasons to go Dragon.

It is not because "MX is bad", but because "Dragon is more"

It is lit with a 600W ARRI fresnel... The shadows are kinda intentional

MasterPrime, if anyone are curious...

Yup.
Playing some drums would be good for me!

What's on TV?

(Is that one of those new anamorph 4:3 4k sets you need to desqueeze to see as scope?)

It is kinda comfy to desat Epic images, by default, but there is a bit of color in there...

Somehow it feels a lot like some of the scans I have done...

BTW, it is a flare on the lower left side...
