  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Here is a shot from a recent shoot in Italy with Sparco Motorsports. They are in the business of making fireproof suits for racing drivers- as well as a bunch of other safety equipment. We dumped a bunch of gas on the suit and then torched it... After this was all over (roughly 12 seconds of burning) we opened the suit up and not a single part had been damaged inside.

This was shot with my new Epic at 240FPS with Canon 70-200 2.8 IS. Full video to drop in a few weeks.

Shooting the same project with 4 monologues intercut. The persons are in the same space, but in different worlds.
The whole thing is shot on a 14mm.

For this character, I have done the lighting rater brutal.
Mainly one big light source, frontal lights (an 4k HMI)
There is some diffusion, but I also put an old uneven glass in front of the lens to sweeten the harshness. Gives a nice texture to it.

Mixed lights with HMI as main ight, but tuning the colours a bit with some Tungsten.

This is a messed up situation, so there is supposed to come a certain roughness out of it… :)
