  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

"shot on red" logo

RED's font is ITC Machine. As for Richard's modified logo, it's great he's taken some initiative, but I would be wary about using any modified version of the RED logo on a production. Usually a bad idea.

Jeff, you're right. I was just noodling with the idea. I wasn't suggesting using this, just offering a design concept. I'd be glad to work on it if RED wanted.

BTW thanks for the info on the font.

Thanks Richard and Jeff! I agree it would be great for Red to release an official update now that Mysterium-X is the official sensor of all Red camera going forward.

Cheers,

Paul

Is there another rendition in higher resolution, and with no gray background? This is only 864 X 864. :001_huh:

Thanks,
The PNG Jim provided has an alpha channel, so the background is gray only because the forum's background is gray. I also think 864x864 is sufficient enough, @ 300dpi that translates to 2.9x2.9 inches (7.3x7.3 centimeters) which is quite adequate for business cards, flyers, rental brochures, etc.

I do agree, however, that a 2-bit b&w version for credit rolls, etc, would be useful.

is there any vector or font-only "shot on red" logo? i would like to put a shot on red logo into the credits of my new movie.
all other logos in the credits are bitmap logos (white logo on black background with no gray tones) and it looks damn ugly if i put a grayscale-logo in there!

so is there any black/white version of a "shot on red" logo?

thanx for your help!
