Just finished a mini doc that I one man banded last year while visiting some friends at their commune farm. Shot on my Epic Dragon with Lomo Anamorphic Square Fronts. Feedback welcome! https://vimeo.com/198781813

Nice. What'd you use to stabilize the shots from the back of the car/truck and the parallax shots of the trees?

Thanks. I just used a tripod in the truck and added warp stabilizer in Premiere.

Thanks Mikael. Just used a Sanken COS 11D-BP Lavalier Mic and basic Tascam recorder. Should have used a mixer as well but I was traveling light on that trip.

Beyond the interviews I didn't capture any additional sounds on site. Created them in post instead.

Those mics always sound great. Great work

Hi Patrick, I shot 6K 6:5 2x anamorphic mode.

Michael, I thank you for very charming viewing experience! It is so filmic in style:-)
Here you got 60-70-s visuals and same era hippie mood harmonically joined.

Which exact models of LOMOs did you use?

I so much liked the color and 3D feel of these so I even made a gallery:-)
All screenshots were taken from the Vimeo video (4k playback on HD screen).

Here are some wides on the Farm:

The coastal shots amazed me with the joy color:

As always, Lomo Anamorphics are super on portraits and skin tones:

!!!Mike, I do not agree here: there definitely should be a topless girl in the river in the lower right shot!!!

And here I put the flares and strong backlight scenes:

Thanks so much for taking the time to break down the visuals like this! It's so cool to see them as thumbnails. I will put them at the top of the thread for others to get a quick sense of the imagery.

I shot this piece with my Lomo Anamorphic Square Fronts, mostly relying on the 35mm and the 50mm a bit as well.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

Mike

PS: Yes, I would have preferred a topless woman too for sure!!

nice, Mike:-) 35mm was NAS10? 50mm was NAS4?

yeah, I also liked the thumbnails effect for quick feeling your film's visuals.

+, a woman would be gorgeous (keeping in mind both hippie love theme and woman as beautiful mother nature representation)
