Has any one experienced a phenomenon where the image on the 4.6" touch will start to cycle downward and begin sending the bottom image to the top of the screen? Luckily the SDI was outputting the normal image so framing would still be possible. On the touch screen I would have to touch not over the menu image but where the menu image normally would be on screen. After rebooting it would become normal again for some time. It didn't start happening until after 4 hours of shooting and nothing was reading over temp. Thoughts?

Yeah same thing happened to me the other day after about only 30 minutes of it being on. Just power cycled and haven't experienced it since.

I also had my sdi cut out last night and couldn't get it working again. Not sure what the issue was there.

I have that problem constantly, usually after about 5 minutes of recording. Power cycling resets the screen, but it happens again almost every time I record for longer than a few minutes.

mine has been lagging sometimes when panning and flickering at times. Anyone else?

My 7" carbon fiber has had a weird lagging when panning (random "pulses" like it's trying to catch up), as well as a diagonal "screen tearing". Will need to submit a ticket on this as soon as I can get back from this shoot on the other side of the country. Just trying to power through it for now.

they know about the diagonal screen tearing, i was on with engineers yesterday and they were able to duplicate what was happening, and were quite surprised actually.
i hope they fix all these quirks soon, i will hate for something to happen on a job that couldnt be fixed on the spot, that would put a dampen on the trustworthiness to producers. im still on the delivered firmware, i did not update to the new beta just yet, what are you guys on?

I have not updated firmware yet either... I didn't want to drop a beta version on there right before a gig. But might be worth a try soon.

I've had the same issue. Had to power cycle.

Also, I use my 4.7" upside down since I have it configured ENG style. I notice the touch screen, especially where "Menu" is, is considerably less responsive then when right-side up. Often I have to hit Menu 5 times or so to activate it. I actually re-mapped menu to a hard key on monitor side buttons, but would be nice if the screen was more responsive upside down.

I've had the same issue when i play with the monitor setting. But when i go back to the factor setting it seems to behave normally.

If you can send the '130-xxx-xxx.log.txt' camera log file from your ssd card to RED via the support web page on RED.com it will probably help them fix those screen issues faster.

i didi it for my issue with them already, thanks mikael!
gene you should do that with the menu problem, it was easy, when you have it happening, go to maintenance and save log to the mini mag, its a txt file, email it to support.

Yes, or just shut down your camera, it will also save a log file automatically at the root of your REDMag :)

i have a flickering issues as well with my scarlet, will talk to my bomb squad about it.
it happened really randomly the last two days.
