Scratch Disk Won't Accept CacheClip & Stills?

I deleted the default Scratch Disk in Preferences Panel because I don't want my scratch disk to be located in the Documents folder, which is the default. So I deleted it and created a new one in my Media folder. I quit Resolve and restarted.

However, once I create a new project, instead of putting the cache clip in my new scratch disk folder, it simply creates a new one in the default location of Documents. In the Media Page though, it's only showing my newly created Scratch Disk, not the Default one of the Documents folder.

I tried it several times, deleting, restarting, creating new projects and new scratch disks, etc... but I still can't get it to put the cached clip into the new scratch disk, it just recreates the old one in the Documents folder even though I delete it every time. I checked the manual too, not a lot on it, but what is there says that that is all I have to do.

Any ideas what's going on?

I'm using Resolve 10 on OSX Mavericks.

Check to see what the path is in prefs / general / cache
Sometimes you need to manually set it there

Did that, same story. It's listed as the new folder I created, yet DaVinci has not created a cache clip folder.

In fact, right now there is no Cahce Clip folder at all. Or at least I can't find it as it's not in the default or newly created location.

I even grabbed a few stills and added them to my gallery and saved and restarted and still no Cache clip folder to found.

If I remember right, those folders are created to the disc/location that is the first disk on the "Media Storage" list. You'll will find it at "Preferences" ->"media storage".

ISSUE RESOLVED...

I figured it out. The solution was to create a project, go to the timeline, select a clip, and then manually tell Resolve to cache selected clip. This forced it to create a clip cache in the new directory I created. All is well.

Thanks for the help guys!
