Scarlet W Start/Stop Bartech Not Working

As the title says. I ran the same rig on a dragon the day before with no issues. Bartech digital with F stop wireless receiver, run stop cable with the box that sends the current the red needs for SS function, into sync port on the V lock io. The settings are set to start stop toggle for both. What am I doing wrong?

Not sure about the Vlock IO module but I think at least on jetpack it has changed from a 3V signal on sync port to a simple closure of the circuit like it was on the RED One, so you need a different cable and or different bartech setup (see if it has a 'RED ONE mode' for start stop).

Cable pins and start stop info should be in the RED DSMC2 operational guide.

You're right. The V-Lock module uses the closed circuit, while the Base Expander uses the 3v current. Two different methods for the same camera. Hopefully this will be helpful for people in the future.

Thanks for pointing that out. Was just having the same problem. The ops manual clearly shows the two different styles of connections for the various modules.

even with a new cable with all the correct specs from preston, we cannot get my raven with the vlock to start stop.
red support says they got theirs to work, so we are planning on bringing our preston unit and raven into red next week and make them show us it works, we've been trying for weeks
