Scarlet-W Package overview video

Finally got my Scarlet-W package in the other day and decided to put up a brief overview of it's contents, along with putting a couple hypercore red series batteries and the dsmc2 outrigger handle on it.

I was constantly searching on youtube, vimeo, instagram, facebook, etc. for images and videos of people who received their units, so I made this video for others out there just like me. First time doing this kind of video to share, so enjoy.

Not sure if this is the appropriate space for it, so mods feel free to move if it's not something I can share here.

Very nice video. That top handle is not trustworthy though, too short, classical top handle length, shape and material are best so I would opt for that or a new top handle with a rec button.

Hey Eddie is possible to flip the outrigger handle to the other side of the body? I ask because I will use the side handle when that is released and I would like to have dual handles.

Hey Eddie is possible to flip the outrigger handle to the other side of the body? I ask because I will use the side handle when that is released and I would like to have dual handles.

Unfortunately the way the electronic connection/communication pins are set up below the handle, it's only able to be fitted one way. I believe if you find a dsmc1 handle (without electronics) you could probably mount that on either side.

Thanks for sharing Eddie, awesome video. I have a question on the Scarlet W. When you do the 1:1 Zoom assist to better see focus are you able to move the image around? Let say in a talking head interview situation if you do the 1:1 focus assist zoom, can you scroll to the eyes or you need to tilt the camera up. Thank you. Elie

I know on my Epic i could set the target area for the focus assist by dragging the target where i wanted it to go. I havent tried on the S-W think its the same

yes you can move the focus area before you enter pinch 1:1 zoom. But remember right now it is only zooming when NOT recording.
