I placed my order on Dec 13th and haven't received an email yet. I'm sure RED is pushing orders out as fast as possible.

At this point it looks like we are not yet past the first night of Raven pre-orderers that switched to S-W later.

Thanks for that update Rob, I followed a couple hours after at 12:30 am. Maybe this week will be the week.
 
Wasn't too long of a wait. S-W package shipped today. Should arrive tomorrow. Thanks RED

Nice. My rep still hasn't replied since Wednesday. I've dealt with other reps after calling in, but am kind of in the dark regarding my status.

For reference, my order was a Raven pre-order:

9/24/15 - 9:38 PM

Paid for it on Thursday and Friday last week (I was on a shoot and couldn't clear the transfer with my bank for half of it).
 
Does anyone know whether there will be another batch of allocations done today? I know RED have done them on Wednesday in the last two weeks. The photos posted by those who have received their units so far look great!
 
anyone who got the vlock pkg, im curious, does the universal handle actually line up, backwards, on the screw holes on the back of the body closest to the battery?

sounds weird, but i want the outrigger on the front holes :)
 
Yes I am very curious about the v lock package as well. Would love to see and hear some feedback when anyone gets their hands on one.
 
Happy for all the Raver > S-W package owners getting their allocations! I ordered mine on 9/25/15, 12:32 AM so I'm not too far from being allocated (it seems ;) )

I got the chance to check out the V-Lock package at red studios yesterday (took it apart and looked at everything pretty thoroughly). The holes are directly parallel with the ones the universal handle mounts to. Can't say 100% as I didn't try to mount it in that location but i'd say most likely yes.

Greetings everyone,

Just made my order a couple days back after a tough decision on whether to join the Red Fam due to financial constrains. Decided to take the plunge anyways!

Anyone has tried using Switronix Hypercore Batteries? I've decided to use that instead of the Red Bricks as it has a much slimmer profile. Hoping to see some test footage soon too!
 
another +1 for Switronix, I ordered some hypercore RED & the 2 part hypercore primes.
 
Thanks for the info! Glad I made the right purchase :) Would you happen to know any good third party cages or quick release plates that might be suitable for the DSMC2 series? So far, the ones I've seen are from Woodencamera and an unreleased rumour from Movcam. Don't see much other options at the moment. The ones that are currently from Red are mainly for the older DSMC cameras I believe..
