  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Scarlet-W has Begun...

Please release a Raven Monochrome! How amazing would that be???
 
Just got a shipping notification from fedex! A 9 pound box which should be the scarlet-w brain! Of course i wont be able to actually use it until the base i/o and monitor ship too lol. Still its exciting! My first Red!
 
So just a friendly heads up: being allocated for a Scarlet-W package does not mean your package is ready to ship. My payment went through, but despite my allocation the display and v-lock expander aren't available so my package can't ship (with no real estimate as to when shipping may occur). Bummer.

Is this what your rep told you or did you look up the stock on Red.com?

This is what my rep told me. I'm happy they've been so open with answering my questions and I understand that this is a crazy time so I'm trying to cut them some slack, but I guess I just thought "allocated" meant ready.
 
If you got an allocation on a package order, it means your brain and the other bits within that package are or will be available shortly. Correct, does not mean on the shelf, per se, but it part of our current build plan.

It does NOT mean "your brain is ready, but you have to wait for the rest to be ready".

Hey Brent, if we were early in the RAVEN line, and switched to SCARLET-W, how far back should we expect to be?

"Early" is a relative term. Without digging into everyone's order one by one, cannot begin to guesstimate.

Fair enough. Thanks Brent. Don't get me wrong, I'm very happy with my place in the process, but like everyone I'm a bit anxious to receive my camera :)

But I can wait. Just want to keep others informed with what I've experienced and been told by my rep so they know what to expect when they get their allocations. All good.
 
All good, Jon, that is what the forum is for. I was just trying to clarify. A lot of moving pieces with this stuff. Things can get quite complex when you introduce six cameras in one calendar year... We are either getting better at this "making cameras" thing, or we are insane. Or a little of both.
 
I'm now a RED customer because you are both. Keep pushing.

Hi Jon,

You must be one of the very first S-W package allocations.

What was your time stamp if I may ask? Are you a Scarlet-Dragon upgrader or a Raven Switcher.

Six??? Hold the phone! Is this another clue? We have:
1. Raven
2. Scarlet-W
3. Weapon Mg
4. Weapon Woven
5. Weapon Forged
6.???? Is there really an Epic-W? Or does Scarlet-W Monochrome count?

I know we have batting back and forth what you guys might be up to....but...........????????????
