  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Scarlet-W has Begun...

Yes... you get the case with Sscarlet-W package. Sorry gotta update the website to reflect that thanks.

Yes, it has been stated that this case: (http://www.red.com/store/products/scarlet-w-package-case) is included with the Scarlet base I/O package.

Not counting the case, the base I/O Scarlet-W package saves you $500 as compared to purchasing all the bits separately. Thus, if you figure in the cost of the case, then the base I/O package has a cost savings value equal to= $995

This case is damn cool. Too bad I can't get into the DSMC2 game right now. The package looks sweeter every minute. This really is awesome. great job RED! And great job, Brent for making this true for the Scarlet package, too!

So much incentive is pretty crazy - compared to the ScarletX some got lucky and got a sticker, if I'm not mistaken - I didn't get one so I can't tell. hehehe ;)
 
Can anyone confirm if the the scarlet-w case is identical to the weapon case? From the pictures, it looks like you can't fit a 7" monitor or a XL module. precut foam inserts?

The Scarlet Case is different from the Weapon case (at least in it's laser cut-outs)

Got our first Scarlet W brain today. Came in a plain black cardboard box. But that's ok. We'll be building custom cases anyway :) And we have left over 5" touch screens and Weapon/Epic handles and AKS we can use.

But NO I/O v-lock module yet so we're just sitting here looking at it ;)

Confused by this post??? I stay off the site a few weeks and did something new happen? Was there another offer I missed or was your Scarlet Dragon upgrade 12/10/15 and just additional info? I did mine in early July 2015 and it was among the last upgrades if not THE last.

My wish is still on track. To have my Scarlet W package before my b-day 3/29. I think I am way too safe to say it ll happen. Saw the case and didn't expect it to be with wheels and all! Thanks Jarred!
 
Here is my future Run n' Gun wish list of items I dream RED makes in 2016:

1. Compact I/O module with 4 Audio inputs. 2 is not enough. And RED happens to have Amazing quality recording, with very little cleanup in post needed.
2. Smaller V Mount Batteries to have a V Mount Friendly for SteadyCam without having to swap accessories/modules constantly on the set.

Note: A wish just for those moments you do need it! :)
