  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Scarlet-W has Begun...

Folks, SCARLET DRAGON owners do get a priority within allocation queues. But don't confuse that with every single SCARLET DRAGON for SCARLET-W goes to front of the line. It just means they will get allocated sooner than if they were not a SCARLET DRAGON owner placing the order. And those guys also got a bigger bundle discount on top of that allocation bump. Remember, we are trying to balance the RAVEN guys and their time stamps if they moved to SCARLET-W, the SCARLET DRAGON guys as well as a growing network of dealers. Hope that clears things up...
 
Thanks for the explanation Brent! I was within the first couple hours of the Raven pre-orders and having moved over to S-W package, was hoping that I'd get an allocation email this week. Are you guys done blasting emails out for the week?

I'm sorry, I'm not sure I follow. My Raven order went through at 12:22 am, hours after it was available for preorder. Regardless of SD-owner status, wouldn't I get a package allocated before someone that ordered 7+ hours after me?

Honestly, either way I'm fine, I'm just trying to understand. Thanks for taking the time to chime in.
 
Are you talking RAVEN or SCARLET-W? I see your SCARLET-W order in January. If you ordered RAVEN and moved to SCARLET-W, have your rep look into that.

And, no, time stamp is not the only factor, as I meant to make clear in my last post, SCARLET DRAGON folks who ordered SCARLET-W get a priority so one of those folk with a later time stamp could get allocated before someone with no SCARLET DRAGON who ordered 7+ hours before them.

So for an order placed January 13th for Scarlet-W brain only, is it realistic to be hopeful I'll have it in my hands by April? Not looking for any specifics as I know those don't exist but maybe just a yes or no to if that's completely out of the question or not? Can't wait!

Thanks for your reply. The order went through in January, but it was a transfer from the Raven preorder made in September. At the time of the SW announcement, our rep at the time told me that it didn't matter when we transferred the Raven order to the SW, because the Raven time stamp would apply. Either way, I'll reach out to our rep tomorrow and see if we can get some clarification.

Guys, I hate to be a d*ck about it, but I get about 50x PMs a day asking about the same thing. If my only job was forecasting windows for allocations, I could get to them all and hope I was doing more that guesstimates... We are going as fast as we can. Trust me, we want them in your hands as much as you do. Well, maybe not that much, haha, but a lot, haha!

Coming from a Blackmagic URSA Mini pre order you'd think I would have gotten used to waiting around. Guess I just felt spoiled having a company that actually responds to the community :) Can't wait to get it!

BECAUSE (methinks) they would have to admit everything they do is for the bottom line...AND, the stock price.
 
Today I had a call from RED and before I answered I jumped!!!! Then it was a call about doble checking my info account, and had nothing to do with my order. it was fun though! I felt a super exited happy moment for a few seconds. Then back to reality! LOL !!! Still happy though because this baby is coming very soon.

Folks at RED rock the house. Period! two-way street like Brent says. They are so cool talking to you. It does not feel like customer service, it's like you're talking to your cousin or something. :coolgleamA:
