  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

This is a small thread for all those who can't wait to get their Scarlet W but need the mental support of their RED bro's to help through this difficult time waiting on their precious little baby's.

Hi, my name is Adam, and I'm a Scarlethollic.

I sold my Scarlet Dragon in March, and I'm 6 months clean without my Scarlet-W. It's getting really hard, and I don't want to relapse into a Sony or Blackmagic 4.6k. Thanks for being here.
 
I placed my order in Jan (early) 2016...so I am thinking that if I don't see my Scarlet-W by October, I will have to turn my back on scarlet- and pull the trigger on the Helium and ride out the wait in that line...
 
I wanted to but wasn't ready to order when first announced, but now I can put in my order. If I put in my order today, any ideas on when it might ship? Before the end of the year?
 
My name is Jose. I've only been waiting for my Scarlet-W for a month and a half, but every day is a struggle. I knew I was in trouble when I placed my order and asked my wife the next day if she thought we'd get allocated that weekend. The reason I joined this group is because I'm to the point where I refresh reduser.net every five seconds. Also, I think daily about cancelling my order and getting a refurbished Epic Dragon off of eBay.

I was on order for a SW somewhere around January. I waited and waited like the rest of u guys, until I decided to just make the jump to Weapon mg. That was one of the best decisions I possibly could have made. These are the cameras you will have for a very long time, and absolutely love using, so get one of the best ones, It feels really good knowing that you are not missing out on anything. To anyone who is on the fence about moving to MG, just do it! I am sure you will not regret it. I know looking back that I haven't. What I regret is just not doing it sooner. And with confirmed Helium 8k upgrade, future proof.
 
that's another $20K. I don't think people who ordered Scarlet can wing 3 times the price. And I don't think cameras last with you for very long time. Almost every camera I had was replaced in about 2 years. I rather invest into the best glass I can afford. that will stick with you for long time. On that note my first Cooke lens is coming home on Monday.

Don't underestimate what others can afford, as listed in the post "To anyone who is already on the fence about moving to MG". With the new 8k Helium sensor in a weapon they will certainly be current for more than 2 years more than enough time to get your moneys worth. SW on the other hand ya probably after 1 year you will be wanting more.

I have my Scarlet-W already and I would be greatly disappointed if there isn't a reasonable upgrade to helium (same body, same size sensor) as that was a big reason for me moving to DSMC2. (remember the tick-tock body then sensor upgrade - DSMC2 body is supposed to be the tick)

BTW I would be happy to provide special discount rental rate to Scarlet-W people waiting for delivery.
