I'm running a few test here to show what battery time you can expect from a Scarlet-X EOS-Mount:
External devices attached:
Side Handle
5.0 Touchscreen LCD
Tamron 17-50 2.8
Test were all done indoors @ approx. 72°F or 22°C
First test:
Battery fully loaded
38:22 from bootup to automatic shutdown
No recording, just a black shading calibration.
Fanspeed: 60% (idle)
I didn't expect that much.
Second test:
Battery fully loaded (96% displayed)
34:40 from bootup to automatic shutdown
Recording 4KHD 25fps at RC6:1 + 20 Touch-to focus
Fanspeed: 35% (recording)
@13 Minutes in recording Fan jumped up to 100% for 5 seconds.
Third test:
Battery fully loaded
37:06 from bootup to automatic shutdown
Recording 25 short clips @4K 25fps at RC 6:1 +20 Touch-to focus
Fanspeed 30% (recording)
Fourth test:
Battery fully loaded: (99% displayed)
34:25 from bootup to automatic shutdown
Recording 1 clip @3K 48fps RC 7:1 + 2 Touch-to focus
Fanspeed 30% (recording)
@14:00 fan startet running @100% for 10 seconds
@17:00 fan startet running @100% for 10 seconds
@19:41 fan startet running @100% for 10 seconds
@22:20 fan startet running @100% for 10 seconds
then the 64GB SSD was full, formatted it and recorded again.
@26:30 fan startet running @100% for 10 seconds
@28:50 fan startet running @100% for 10 seconds
@31:05 fan startet running @100% for 10 seconds
Conclusion for this test: don't lower your fanspeed below 35% (recording) for long takes. The fan will ruin your audio and your talent's concentration.
Fifth test:
Battery fully loaded: (100% displayed)
37:48 from bootup to automatic shutdown
Recording 1 clip @4K 25fps RC 6:1
Fanspeed 40% (recording)
NO RED PRO 5.0 DISPLAY (display disconnected after settings were set)
Charging the battery (Europe 220V):
First Test:
2:15:00 from 0% to 99% (displayed on camera after bootup)
Second Test:
2:17:00 from 0% to 99% (displayed on camera after bootup)
Third Test:
2:16:00 from 0% to 99% (displayed on camera after bootup)
