  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

SCARLET DRAGONS begin to ship

When I get my Dragon most Epics will have been Dragonized. I don't mean that from an egotistical viewpoint, just from the viewpoint of someone who is at the very back of the line haha. :D

Great news. Congratulations.
One question regarding the new fans: are the upgraded Scarlets getting the new fans? At the FAQs at red.com, the Scarlet upgrade does include the new fan kit (https://support.red.com/entries/27930426-What-does-the-SCARLET-RED-DRAGON-upgrade-include-). I don't mind keeping the old fans if installing the new ones does not make a difference, but wondering what RED recommends.

Now that they are shipping, can we get a breakdown of compression ratios for resolution/frame rate? That's the last thing holding me back.

So these are brand new Scarlet Dragons, right? Anyone who wants to upgrade from Scarlet gets their old Scarlet upgraded; it is not a trade-in like it is for the Scarlet to Epic. Do I have that right?
 
How long do we have until the Scarlet Dragon upgrade program closes?

That is an error, it is the 1.0 fan kit. As Jarred said, they are optional. User preference, really.

Good catch. I will have team update the DSMC Media Operations guide. The normal Ops Guide has been updated with SCARLET DRAGON tech specs.

Shipping now are brand new, yes. SCARLET upgrade is an upgrade, not a trade-in.

As Jarred says, all good things come to an end. As of now, rest assured, you have got awhile - we have not even started processing upgrades to SCARLET DRAGON.
 
I wonder how long it will be until Epic Dragon X's start shipping?

Things seems to be picking up now. Hopefully by fall?
 
If someone buys me half of this camera I will buy them a beer, deal?
