Scarlet Deal of a Lifetime

And, since a few have PM'ed me with "when will my rep contact me with next steps?", note that this spike from the BT SCARLETS has them playing a little bit of catch-up as well. And a lot of the orders were to new additions to the RED customer family so they have some questions about accessories, etc to work with their reps on. You'll hear from us soon - and certainly before your SCARLET is ready to ship :)
Thanks for your patience, guys (and gals).

The "Scarlet Hord" strikes again ;) Let's see if we can put RED into back order ! I'm eyeing that 9 inch touch screen. hmmm ... will the wife kill me ... will the wife kill me not ... will the wife kill me ...

Are the BT Scarlets from this lot numerated together?
Makes em all blood brothers ;)

Would you opt to save for dragon or picking up a second body instead today?

That really depends on your business strategy and expected ROI. We are likely 3-5 months out before we see Dragon in a Scarlet. If you can make money with two cameras and pay the other one off in that time frame I'd say it might be a safe bet to buy that 2nd body.

We are also a bit away from knowing final details and price on the Dragon/Scarlet upgrade path.

Phil has been dropping a ton of wisdom the last 24 hours... good job.

:) With this incredible deal I'm sure it feels just like like November 2011 did for current Scarlet owners.

Might want to rephrase this sentiment Phil- for current Scarlet owners that just bought at $11,900, they just had their
hearts and wallets and resale value crushed.

I've never seen a camera company offer such a generous discount on non-refurbrished gear 9 months from debut,
but if that's what it takes to keep things rolling for Red,
more happy campers on the Red train is welcome news for everyone.

On the other hand, I'd love to see Red license their tech and make it ubiquitous...

Hell, I'd love to see RedCode RAW on the next iPhone!

We uderstand it takes time for processing. Its just that we are so anxious about it all. I was sent a pro forma invoice and I gave the goahaead for the payment. Hope they contact me back soon.

Its cool to think that my Scarlet was initiated on an uber cool project. Just wish to know what it was one day.

For me I'll try to work as much as possible with this camerea then upgrade to dragon. If occasioaly I need aother camera I'll rent one. But thats me. I usually do single camera shoots.

This amazing offer was the tipping point for me....

If you've been on the fence (like me) thinking about purchasing a SCARLET, this is the time to pull the trigger.

C'mon are you serious? I just took advantage of this deal AND also purchased the RED TOUCH 5.0" LCD AND added the DSMC SIDE HANDLE AND (the icing on the cake) purchased RED ARMOR...FOR LESS than purchasing ONLY the regular SCARLET at $11,900 for the Scarlet Brain, Side SSD and Canon Mount.

I feel as if I just upgraded my RED ONE.

If you want r3d 4k motion or 5k stills with hdrx there isn't a better deal. Very cool.

Our 6th Red camera is on its way to Seoul. I'm really happy to say that it was the most painless equipment purchase ever. Thanks for all your hard work and support, Jarred, Brent, Dan, and Jay.

Ordered one too. I own several cameras. Sony F3, FS700, Nikon D800, Blackmagic Cinema Camera and I'm very curious how the Scarlet performs. It will be not the camera for my daily work, but for special jobs it will be a great addition!
