Freak'n Ef'n amazing release announcement - Canon epic failed(again)! Hats off to you, Jim, and the rest of the Red Team.

One question for me remains; will there be a CF to SSD sleeve/sled? i.e. to allow for the use of CF cards in the ScarletX REDMAG slot?

Thanks that makes me feel a bit better. 4am here in dear old England time to try and get some sleep, think I'll be repeating the phrase "120 frames per second" for my own sanity. Night night and congrats RED and the team for once again blowing my mind.

The Red One has features the Scarlet-X doesn't.

Question, when shooting in 2k or 3k with Canon lenses is the image scaled or do we get zoom factors on the lens?

With the aluminium support some of the bigger canon lenses? Can we upgrade off of the full package to the titanium.
 
I think my user pic really sums up my feeling :) Great job guys, and way to really pull the rug out from under Canon today. They've got some serious thinking to do.

I did have a question though, is there any built in selectable ND?

Only place where I'm left wanting is FPS. I hope future firmware releases will bring >60 fps at least on 720p. One of priority features I was waiting Scarlet for was 120 fps@3K, and now its gone :-(
Rest of the changes are awesome!!!!
I predict one popular 3rd party accessory - black powdered spray paint :-)
I don't really get what was gained with the gray color - if it took 1000$ of the price, then great idea.
 
This is just inredible. Will place a deposit by christmas that is for sure. Wish I had the money now, but I will nonetheless own one very soon. Thanks for this beautiful machine.
 
Are those eighth inch microphone inputs on the front? No mini XLR? That's kind of a disappointment to me. Puts audio on the back burner just like Canon cameras.

A sincere thank you. Just ordered the camera through my bomb squad rep. While I was contemplating the purchase of an Epic, with these specs, the Scarlet makes much more sense to me. I can actually build a smooth workflow around this while keeping the overall visual quality. I'm sure that you'll keep adding features for the Scarlet just as you did to your other products. You didn't let us down at all. No more excuses- the digital filmmaking revolution is here. I'm officially on the bandwagon. Thank you !! Just one small improvement I would like to ask: any chance for 120fps for 2K or 1080p? This is something I was really looking forward to...
