  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Scarlet (and shipping) announcement Nov. 3rd...

I think almost everyone has been in the mindset of "longest October" for a long time. Let's be happy and grateful it's only one month!

Even if they changed their minds a million times before 11/3.

I would still bite, and I would be thoroughly entertained as well.

Just to spite everyone who is getting pushed out of shape about it. ; )

Whatever Scarlet is, one thing is for sure, it will be something completely new.

If Nov3rd specs turn out to be the last official known specs - Scarlet will be a worldwide success on unprecedented level.
If Nov3rd specs turn out to be changed/improved (by the vision of RED) - Scarlet will be a worldwide success on unprecedented level.
If Nov2nd brings "change of mind"/"delay" - Scarlet will be a worldwide suffering on unprecedented level.

Feel free to change your mind. We shall all buy a Scarlet when it's released, when(what)ever that will be.

Speaking of 8K

I have this theory that whatever the standard is, a little more will always be needed for vfx and such.

Red of course destroyed the 2k myth, and now the Epic is giving us true 4K+.

I wonder (not guessing), what is next?

Of course it will be from Red. I know... wrong thread. Just saying.
 
Expecting the things we know, and everything else will be a plesant surprice...
I'll be happy to read it all on nov 3th... (for me nov 4th at 02:00 :smile: very early in the moring...)

This appears impossible. Unless things have changed, Red will start taking orders on November 3.
