  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Scarlet and RED Europe: sharing shipping information, feedback

Not had a confirmation email for either the stage 3.5 or the scarlet order - but they are there under "open" orders.

Has anyone else in the UK had a confrmation email?

I have had nothing but great customer experiences with RED Europe - and in particular with Alan. He's a RED rockstar ;-)

I certainly can't attest to the "getting products a month later" argument stated in the first post.

Absolutely agree... Do your bit (order fast, pay fast) and Red Europe do theirs. Plenty of small items I've had same day or next day which has been hugely helpful. Big stuff you're on the same page as everyone in the US as far as backorder, but the days where buying direct and chancing it with Fedex, customs and duty were worthwhile are long long gone.
 
Have you really read the first post ? Could you show me something negative inside ?... May I beg your pardon sirs, but no one is bashing or flaming anyone here...
I'm tallking about infos in order to avoid people disturbing Alan and his coworkers by calling them and it's all about sharing our informations because I may need and maybe you may want to get nice feedback...

Yes Alan is really Nice and Red Uk necessary to avoid customs problems, it's true but what it is written in the first post also...
I just corrected the word of destruction "delay" of almost a month, I added "Scarlet" at delay unless you have some news of someone being shipped this week ?

Precision is better even if I was talking of the Scarlet only maybe I'm not as fluent in english sorry for the mistake, adding Scarlet to the sentence Will make the deal

However from what all of us know about estimates and RED's rather fluid approach to time we shouldn't be surprised, should we? I'm in the first 1500 or so Scarlet orders and I'm not expecting mine till March. If it comes early then that's a huge bonus, but with RED's track record I'd say it would be more likely for me to receive it in March than in December. Hey who knows maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised, but I'm not counting or planning on it. It's not like RED have done anything wrong - they said Scarlet would start shipping Nov17/Dec1 and it has - just not in the quantities that some people hoped they would.
 
update: as i´ve seen today there are scarletx´s with pl mounts on the way, some european buyers have received the emails from red u.k. !!! congratulations to the new owners !!! :-)

unfortunately i´ve ordered a canon ti package, so for me the wait is not over :-(

but i have a good feeling, things are rolling, and every day brings me closer to my scarlet :-)))

I placed the PL order first it was Nov 3rd almost 38min after the announcement
We placed the AI order Nov 4th in the afternoon

Thank you for the offer ... in fact we are shooting with the Alexa ... yes I know I'm using the Arri stuff
but only because no RED EPIC was available as Big renting house in France does not give/rent EPIC to short films... true story !! (even if you shoot with famous actors... I love my country... ^^)

But you know I'm 997 and I'm one of the last who receive the email ... above all according to the list in the forum two persons from germany with number 1500 haves already a camera allocated ...
I don't know how they choose people who are shipping trust it's not by So number only...
 
Guys... it seems to be very calm in Europe ... Have you heard of someone getting their cameras from RED UK ?
It's been almost two months and only one camera has been delivered by RED UK ? no way ?.. I Hope everything is alright, I know that it was closed until January 3rd.. Just want to wish them the best and I hope that things will move finally for us in Europe... it's been a very long wait anyway.
I think we've been quite patient since the 17th November and we deserve some small feedback here...

"We estimate we will have your SCARLET-X w Al Canon Mount / Side SSD camera(s) allocated to you within the next 5-7 business days."
"Please note that there may be a few extra days of additional processing time on RED EUROPE LTD orders."

I'm assuming it's a bulk email sent to people whose orders are near allocation.

Bah, I didnt get an email - and to be honest, I didnt think id be massivly down the list, ordering on the 3rd November SO-0051092.

I'm patient, I guess they'll get to me when they get to me.
