If any of you are going... Find Ted. He brought a working Scarlet 2/3" Fixed lens with him and will be running around.

Tonaci caught Ted at the studio today and shot a quick little video on his iphone on his way out.

Thanks for posting this Jarred!

Tonaci and I just happened to run into Ted at RED Studios Hollywood (Tonaci was picking up a battery at the RED store) and it turns out he was just getting ready to head off to CES in Las Vegas with a working Scarlet. We shot this quick video right before he hopped in the car and took off for the airport. Anyone going to CES like Jarred says find Ted!

can always count on jarred to always throw us a bone!! thanks man keep up the good work!!!

Bones are good. Check back on Friday, and Ill show you someone else that really likes bones.

Heh heh heh....

Tonaci might want to add a note on Vimeo description that the video itself was shot on an iphone...

I about spit my coffee out ... until Ted said it was being shot on an iphone...

phew!

Will the Scarlet Fixed ship with the 5" LCD, or is that just for exhibition at CES? (From what I recall, the original spec was a 2.8")

We are no longer making the 2.8" touchscreen.. it was impossible for any normal sized person to use.

Very great news !
Can't go to Vegas abviously but will be definitely checking the internet out to get the pixtures, videos and other stuff about the camera !

Just added "shot on iPhone 4" to the description.

That will mean a change for those in Stage 3.

That is great news for Scarlet buyers, talk about value!
Can't imagine anyone complaining about the Scarlet price increase when they consider the amazing gear they are getting for the crazy low price.

Great news ! I hope that the Scarlet starting kit's price won't increase too much.

And for CES, make sure the Scarlet is in security !

It's getting exciting! How many did a quick mental scramble to decide if a last minute trip to CES was feasible?

The 2.8" screen did sound a little small. I was leaning heavily towards upgrading. I doubt this will be a disappointment to many people, even if it means a small price increase. Does that mean no 2.8" screen at all, or it just won't be touchscreen?

And by the way, did Ted say the aperture was opened up to 2.5? That's a little better than expected!
