Looking for anyone that has some experience with these in resolve. Going to spend some time with the month trail version to test a few things out, but if anyone has some suggestions to point me in the general area it would be appreciated. I'll list the effect/looks I'm going for below.

Film Look (high contrast, grain, CITY OF GOD style)
Film Look (bright and beautiful, strong vibrant colors,)
Video look for found footage (something that might blow out the highs) we shot everything pretty safe. Used the Red Epic 5k. Need to rough up the footage, not to the point of a cell phone look, but hints of it.
Scan lines for security footage
TV glitches

I'm working with my colorist and I know there will be some trial and error, but like I said any information would help. Thanks.

Can't speak to speak to using Sapphire in Resolve, but Sapphire has been available in many of my broadcast Avid edits for over a decade. A very useful plug in suite for sure, but I have to imagine a number of those "looks" could probably be recreated relatively easily in Resolve.

What Sapphire may be able to add to a grade are custom FX...like film damage, light leaks, debris, dirt, etc, and also a myriad of other traditional VFX such as glows, transitions, streaks, etc.

I think much of those looks can be created in color-correction, with curves, keys, primaries, and secondaries. You don't necessarily need a LUT or a look to do it.

Roughing up the footage with a "video" look or glitches, is a totally different thing. I'm not sure if those are covered in Sapphire, but here's a list of editing plug-ins that will work in programs outside of Resolve:

Note that the new Mac Pros are running Open GL, which is not yet compatible with Sapphire. There are a bunch of OFX plug-ins that are, but not GenArts.
