Jarred can you comment about the markings on the lens in that AAton picture? They seem a little sparse. 10' 20' 50' I hope that is a prototype.
true.. im gunna say that lens is an early prototype

I'd like to second this if it isn't too late to alter them slightly. It's a heat of the moment thing that will most likely get screwed up whilst on set and under the gun for time.Would the marks where the aperture numbers are be a tad easier to differentiate if they were slightly longer?
The numbers don't look any different than the numbers on a 12:1 to me... a little vague but completely functional.
One curiosity: the witness mark on the focus barrel appears to be about half the thickness of the fixed witness mark. Are they the same thickness? If they're different thicknesses, there will be an inherent inaccuracy to the marks.

Cheers for listening as always Red!

I've ordered a set of the RPPs in metric (my preference), but I'm wondering if there is enough space, the way the lenses seem to be designed, to add a tape marker (using very thin tape, letraset, etc) for feet along the metric scale. By space I mean clearance for sliding underneath the part that is not cut out to show the distance scale.
Thanks

there is clearance to slip tape under the overlay, but its a bit tricky getting it in there.
