WAY TOO HIGH! I was excited to see they finally announced the price for Ronin 2, but 7 grand!? Naw bro. Ronin 1 was so successful because it was competitively priced against the Movi. I was ready to buy Ronin 2 but not for 7 grand, which is more than the Movi pro. I dont care that it holds a little bit more weight, 99% of us dont need to stabilize 30 lbs. Who's ready to start a riot with me and burn some sh*t down till DJI lowers their price. (in my hater voice) nobody buy this please till they lower it ......lol (jk.... but then again not really)

Totally agree I said the same thing on the Ronin 2 Facebook Group SMH!

Who gives a F*ck? Let them charge what they want, it will work out in the end.

You can always choose not to buy one but instead to just rent one when you actually need it.

Part of the cost of a Movi is the support you get. Derek answers emails within minutes, and tech support can sometimes also be reached by phone. Will you get that with DJI? Imagine standing there with a limp or gyrating gimbal the night before a shoot, or worse, while everyone waits.... Reboot doesn't solve it. New settings don't solve it. tick tock, tick tock.

That said, 2x weight capacity and the options that therefore open are attractive.

Perhaps a Movi Pro+, or "L", smaller than the XL.

in the email they did refer to the RONIN 2 as the "Pro". So my guess is they are going to try and swoop in on some other models more in our price range. Maybe one that doesn't have to hold 30lbs or whatever.

Just a guess.

regardless that price is way too steep. That thing is way to heavy for $7K.

Just buy a Letus Helix instead :-)

I had to return my Helix because it was buggy with a 12lb load (I was on Skype for 2 days with Letus trying to fix it). I replaced it with a used Movi M15 I picked up for $1900 and I couldn't be happier with how it's working.

Definitely look at used M15's these days, the value you can get is amazing (mine also came with 8 batteries, a case, and a ton of other accessories).

I primarily operate it inverted and just sit it on the handlebars/floor when I get tired and it holds steady until I pick it up.

Yeah the Ronin 2 is positioned interestingly with a high payload capacity but also very heavy. It is an interesting thing to look at compared to the Movi XL.

I could see it being a good fit for a crew that always uses a support rig and spends a lot of time attaching it to jibs, cars, cable cams and such. For me the Movi Pro is the way to go and is on my wish list... I am quickly out growing my Ronin-M.

All jokes aside, All jokes aside, It felt crazy solid at NAB. But they should have come out with a baby Ronin 2 at the same time.

They have always staggered they're gimbal releases. That goes for the Drones too.
