Before I go into the details regarding the pre-order offer and the contest, I'd like to give you a little background:
RIG MORTIS:
As a follow up to the success of the Calavera, RIG MORTIS is a new brand of universal camera rig products. The first offering from RIG MORTIS is the X-HANDLE (X for expression).
X-HANDLE:
The idea behind the X-HANDLE is to offer every camera owner the opportunity to build a rig with a strikingly unique and personalized appearance. No two cameras donning the X-HANDLE look alike. You simply print the desired graphics with your inkjet printer, and insert it into the X-HANDLE. In fact, you can easily create a fresh, new look for every shoot if you'd like!
In addition to the bullet-proof polycarbonate grip that is featured in the pictures, there will be other options for interchangeable grips including rubber, textured PC, wood, and some other materials as well.

Contest ends on Monday at noon PST, at which point the winner will be chosen.

PRE-ORDER OFFER:
Even if you don't win the contest, you can still be a winner: A two-week pre-order period begins today and ends on April 11th. Pre-orders placed during this time will receive a 25% discount off of the $200 list price for the X-HANDLE. To place a pre-order, you will be required to choose either a hard coat color of either black or silver and then make a refundable $20 deposit.
When your order is ready to ship, you will have the opportunity to choose the type of grip you'd like, after which you would pay the remaining balance. Alternatively, you can request a full refund of your deposit at that time.
Shipments will start going out mid-to-late April, in the same order in which the pre-orders are placed.
