Oh man, Björn. That's pretty bad. I'm sorry you're having so much trouble.
Not that this helps you in any way, but wouldn't it be possible to create connectors that do not have bendable pins? Kinda like the new iPhone connector.
Thanks for the kind words, and yes this kind of puts the whole module thing in a new perspective for me, If you are not careful (read if you rental clients do not handle the module connectors with care...) well then they can very easily mess up all you modules including camera in just a few minutes. It's enough that one pin on one module is bent, then you stick it onto the +1, viola, the +1 is now ruined, when things still dot work they off course try the next module swap from the XL to the battery quad module...then the bent pin shit thing is spreading like a decease, when no modules work they of course take of the +1 module and try to use the XL straight on the camera... Boom, then of course also the camera gets fucked. And if I understand it correctly it work so that if you manage to bend the right pins you get a perfect storm so not only your camera goes bad also your batteries goes dead / can not take charge, and they also kill your charger... again hope this all is covered by warranty, but I doubt it.
Now when they are all broken I must say yes, I think it's odd that I have not read more threads with the same issue... And it's mad that the camera and modules ships without a cover. I bought a tactical plate for that reason a while back but I actually think it's the quad bat module that started it, it has been held in a padded case and (me guessing) when pulling it in our out of the padded compartments the foam gets caught in the connector pins and bends them. These pins are also of such material so when they bend there is no way in hell that you can bed them back without them breaking, So if they get just a little bit dent don't do a thing, leave as is and send it to red after the shoot.
We been using the bolt hooked to the +1 and a dp that i know had this theory that the camera shuts down when batteries goes low, well the bolt does not so he thinks then the bolt, if left on, overdrain the batteries sitting in camera which makes them none accepted by the charger. So the trick he told me to try (when i get camera and charger back) was to pull out the power out of the charger a few times to see if that "kick starts the charging process. This was new to me but apparantly it can be the same with all types of batteries, vmounts etc. so according to him the bolt should never be plugged in after camera shut down for low voltage...
I don't think the Bolt could keep draining the batts.Edit: Me speculating but it might be so thst my xl bat problems where due to somthing else than broken pins on the module adaptor/+1 and camera.

Could someone please confirm that the 2 Pin lemo on the Redvolt XL module is the same polarity as on the new Red V Mount Quickplate?
(AKA Pin 2 is Hot +, and Pin 1 is gorund -)

and From FAQ here:

Thanks in advance!
Dennis Guskov said:Do you guys find it okay that the module is wider than the camera, and that it sticks out so much on the sides?
It makes it a little difficult to pull out a mini-mag, but not impossible. I have smacked my fingers a couple of times.
anyone got it in last few weeks? i got screwed again a bit. was told again 2-3 weeks for sure and that was more then 3 weeks ago and now they again have no idea...
