The discussion of other cameras was not banned and of course that would be ridiculous. It was the 'other cameras' forum discontinued. I'm sure we're allowed to discuss just fine.

I guess people will have to go back to talking about RED cameras.

They aren't banning the Discussion of other cameras, they had just deleted a forum dedicated to the discussion of them... a Very Large difference..

You are on REDuser.net, where we discuss the information regarding the RED camera, get it??? ___user.com/net means that we talk about the camera that it is named after, only DVXuser.com has turned into a Catch All Site.

REDuser.net is not Dvxuser, why talk about another camera on this forum? who here is going to care about what you shot on the 7D, when you can go over to DVXuser, or Cinema5d and find the same comments, and answers

For the 251,385th time... The other cameras forum was disbanded because there really wasn't much of a point. There's already tons of plenty good forums to discuss Canon, Nikon, Panasonic, Sony, etc.. cameras. I can think of several right off the top of my head. This forum is about RED and their products. It's like their front lobby in a virtual sense. If you have something pertinent to discuss about one of those other cameras, as it relates to RED and their products, that's fine. But it really didn't make sense to have other camera discussions here...

This is not censorship, this is just a matter of keeping the forums here focused on RED and its products. If you don't like it, then uh.. too bad.
