  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

REDUCATION LONDON + LOS ANGELES

The Seattle course is tempting...maybe if you needed some local help.

I swung by and visited the last Reducation of 2013, oddly doing a presentation that same day on the future of motion picture technology. I wanted to see what it was all about and was really impressed to see how interactive the course was. I spied some of the post workflow discussion/demonstration from the back. Also observed a nice dialogue/diner scene being shot by the students. Nice hands on education and training from very experienced folks who are out there shooting often.

Certainly a good place to start if Red cameras and modern workflows are new to you.
 
This will be my 4th year at REDucation London and it just gets better and better. Brilliant few days to get as much knowledge as you can take in. Highly recommend it!

Can I ask what the benefits are if you've been shooting Red for a while and are a regular contributer/information leech on here like I am?

Or is it better suited to newcomers to the Red ecosystem?
 
Ben, we are adding a new advanced track which will debut in the February course with Peter Collister as the lead instructor. This will be the right REDucation experience for experienced RED users. More information will be up on the REDucation site in the next couple of days.
 
Very tempting...Wanna make it happen for L.A in Feb. Ironically I ll be there until the 9th. So I have to go back if I make the room during my shooting...Looks like no matter how much you know, it is a great education training. You never stop learning until leave this earth! Exited!
 
Hey Jarred, will there ever be a Reducation in Miami? I mean there are a lot of international projects being shot down here. Maybe something to think about. If you need some help getting it organized I can put in some leg work. Would love to just go up to NY but adding in the flight and hotel and costs start getting out of control.
 
Miami is high up on our radar.... Very high up.

Fantastic Brian. That sounds right up my street, although I'd hesitate to call myself advanced :)
 
GO Miami REDUCATION Ill do just about anything to be at that one.
And any Central / Southern America Reducations.
