REDRAY Comments

Jarred, do you have a shuttle service from Stuttgart for the event !? ;)

*sigh*

Jarred, I have been researching the film used to do holographic projection and I think there is a huge market untapped here in the USA. It looks like Europe is doing it already and I think its awesome for signage capabilities with the REDRAY and projector your coming out with. The only product I could find that is required to do this is the WINDO FILM specially made for holographic projection. 3M PRODUCTS is selling it, but if you guys do something similar that would enhance the experience that would be a huge market for RED PRO CINEMA markets.

ANY THOUGHTS?? -Danny

USING A REDRAY in conjunction with the adhesive hologram window film is the future of where advertising is going to go!!! MARK MY WORDS!!!

Are these installations typically going to be enhanced by 4K projection (over a lower rez)?

How many will justify the installation of a $10K+ projector?

ALSO...."INTERACTIVE TOUCH FOILS" CAN TURN ANY SIZE WINDOW OR GLASS INTO A GIANT IPAD!!!! USE WITH THE NEW REDRAY AND BECOME A SUPERSTAR WITH YOUR CLIENTS!!!! YOUR WELCOME COMRADS!!!!

MY guess is that with the REDRAY will absolutely enhance the res on any projection that is high end quality...if thats what you were referring to??

So is ODEmax exclusive to RedRay or is there also a computer playback component (ala Youtube or will it work via the Desktop Red Player Program). It sounds amazing, but wondering the size of the potential audience to view some of the less mainstream content. $1500 is an amazing price for the Redray but it's not a cost that the majority of consumer home content viewers will be ready/able to shell out...

Fantastic announcement as always, .RED, Redray and Odemax. Really exciting times. Thanks!

We built ODEMAX exclusively for REDray. We have no plans to support desktop or mobile playback. We believe anyone can do that. ODEMAX is about the big screen, unparalleled image quality and true protection for the Channel Owner with uncrackable security. We have set out to use the concept of DRM to build direct relationships between creators and viewers. D"R"M should be a bill-of-rights for this relationship, not an evil empire's excuse to protect their existence. No, REDray and ODEMAX were made for each other. Let the users demand exclusivity, not the middlemen.

I am sure that REDRay will put out a gorgeous, pristine image. But, to be clear, my question is whether projecting on to this material, in these conditions, will be suitably enhanced by such an image as to justify the investment in a dedicated $10K plus projection system. Not saying it won't; just asking the question.

The system Im using was just below $2,000 and made by LG. Its a great projector, I know the one RED will put out will be even better, but yes, its worth it in my opinion for sure!!!! Im doing very large size ads and the res is unreal!!!!

what my max is....BLU RAY OR UNCOMPRESSED 1920 X 1080P HD and the picture quality is amazing, the REDRAY will UPGRADE the h.264 or movie files to be much better!! I cant wait for this to be available!!

Looks awesome, but i have a few questions.

Is the redray for preorder for theater use as well as the home?

Am I right is assuming that the redray is 60fps 2d and 30fps 3d?

If it is only 30Ffps 3d, can 2 be used together for full (3d/4k/48fps) Hobbit playback?

Any idea on the typical movie cost per seat for a cinema business plan?

Can we see the remote please :)

Thanks

Player is for both, the projectors will be differentiated . The projector for screens bigger than 15 foot is the crimson, not sure on the naming cof the baby one.

Its 60 frames per second per eye at 4k from one redray, if you have a TV or projector with the oomph, hobbit at 4k 48fps per eye 3D only needs one redray.

Pricing I believe will be made known around sundance.
