  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

REDRAY Comments

Will 3d be compatible with current active shutter glasses?

what does the ui look like?

can it play back from a network?

what audio formats are supported? Dts-hd true-hd?
 
Since the RED files are 2.5 MB/s (what a scam) this means we don't need a faster connection than a steady 3 MB/s downstream to play them, right?

According to Wikipedia (maybe not the most reliable source, but first I found) the first BluRay player available to consumers cost $3800. [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blu-ray_Disc]

Jim? Jarred? I'm betting you just made a bunch of guys in suits over at Sony and JVC and the like just curse on lost profit margins for the next few years.

Yes.. which is almost everywhere now adays but in case you don't have that speed... there is also some intelligence built in there for when you are sleeping at night :) heh heh heh.

If i remember correctly i paid more for my first DVD player than for REDRAY (well i don't know the final european price yet).

who are you calling a sleeper? hehehe!

that's what I wanted to hear! not that I needed it here - I'm upping to 50 or 100 MB/s hehehe! but there are still some people out of major cities, who really have to fight for every KB/s

Starts end of december.. some of you here will be in that batch. but this is a product that is going to have pretty high numbers as it crosses into the normal people world so the december stock is going to go fast.. it probably already has.
