  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

REDcolor3 and REDgamma3...

Graeme has worked his magic to squeeze out a major improvement in the camera monitoring path for color space and gamma.

Love things like this that make our lives easier when people who don't understand RAW come onto set. WE all know how amazing we can make RED footage look with a couple clicks in REDcine-X but it sounds like this will go a long way towards doing that in camera.

This is the greatest benefit of the raw workflow that Red has provided for us... And it's also where I don't think others will match them.
It is a commitment to continued development and improvement for their products after the moment of sale, and after the moment of shooting. When the update comes out, we get it for Epic. We get it for Scarlet. We get it for the Red One. We get it for our old footage that we shot last month. Or last year. Or the year before that.

Thats why I chose Red.

There is nothing like shooting RAW... REDCODE RAW in particular. Everyday the color science gets better and easier. Having someone like Graeme on the team insures that everyone's future is better than the past.

REDcolor3 and REDgamma3 are the proof that shooting RAW is the only way to go...

Bring it onThanks

I haven't been this excited about a release since Build 16 for the RED ONE...

Jim

Bring it on. Can't wait to play with it and see what it can do...

:))

These are always my FAVORITE announcements. Redcolor improvements and monitoring path improvements never get old!

thanks Jim for this . the ability to go back to even M footage and apply new color science is sick cool .

Build 21 was the big one for me... Getting Redcode 42 was HUGE in my opinion.

Looking forward to seeing this!

Looking forward to a demo video of this. Hint hint!
