REDCINE-X Scripting in LUA?

Until support of xml or edl is enabled I don't see how RedCine-X is a useful program. It's like a fully souped-up sports car with no tires. -Fun to sit in but you can't go anywhere! :auto:

Both REDline and REDcineX with the scripting interface will be out in the next week.

So where are we at with this? Has the scripting interface been released?

Have any third party developers made announcements about supporting Redcine-X and this scripting interface for XML/EDL support?

I am getting footage shot with build 30.5.0, which Jim has stated will not open properly in Redcine. I guess I'd like to know what that means exactly? I transcoded Camera RGB and RED LOG... will I not see an accurate image? Can I not use MX sensor media in Redcine (classic) at all?

REDCINE-X supports LUA scripting since a month or so, get the latest release here :

new beta REDLINE also just released but I'm not sure any tool exists yet to do batch encodes etc. Clipfinder will certainly be updated very soon tho. Clipfinder 2.5 paid version already allows to send xml files to REDCINE-X.

On my side I wrote 2 applescripts to convert XML and EDL files (from a FCP or Avid edit) and load it in REDCINE-X using LUA. You can choose to send to the bin or timeline with or without handles (XML version has more features at the moment)... see the links in my signature below.

(I started playing with REDline and RMD metadata info see what I could do with some new scripts but nothing ready yet at this time)
