** Edit, a fresh reboot and installation solved whatever this was.

Errors. Win64 Windows 7:

After installing, removing, and reinstalling RCX won't start.
rcxBuild17Error.jpg

During installation it can't find or remove the .lnk shortcuts as well.

No problems here, same config (Win7/64bit).

Win 8 Pro 64-bit running fine ...

Win 8 Pro 64-bit running fine ...

Just migrated the workstation from Win7 Ultimate 64-bits to Win8 Pro 64-bits.

Everything works fine including REDCINE-X Pro 17.
Except View: Video on Second Monitor Command :-(
Anyone else ?!?

Thanks for the update !

Regards,

Marcus

Hi Jarred,
Is it possible to import premium pro sequence/project(R3D edited in premium pro cs6) into red cine x? If yes, is it going to be in the near future.
Thanks.

My robot must have been grumpy. A fresh reboot and it installed just fine. Don't know what exactly happened. Installed fine on the laptop as well.

Jarred, any chance that we get Metadata updating itself to current frame after we stop the playback?

Right now it shows Meta of the first frame in the clip.

Thank you guys for update!

Yes, this happens to my dual-screen/dual-GFXcard win7/64 machine every time I update RCX. Instead of showing video full screen on the second monitor, activating 'Video on Second Monitor' pops up a tiny thumbnail size screen under the scopes.

Monkeying around in the general/view settings without changing anything, always fixes this, but it always takes something different, EG: opening the view settings and hitting cancel, or hitting ok, or toggling a setting off and then back on and hitting ok. It usually takes me about 5 minutes to find the right trick for each new version.

Perhaps a stupid question, is there a "return/revert to RAW from camera recording settings" option/button somewhere in RCX?

I've been copying the a "look" immediately into one of the 6 memory states, so I can revert to the original source if I don't like where I went.

I recall in an older version of RCX that deleting a specific file in the directory structure reverted the clip, but I forget the file extension name...

...I also don't like deleting anything :coolgleamA:

Still amazes me you make this great software for free. Thanks!

2 Feature requests if i may:
-on R3D trim export, it seems to force the creation of a sub-folder per clip at the moment. Would be great to be able to put a bunch of .R3Ds in the same folder on export. This functionality seems to already be roughed into the interface?
-When exporting an R3D trim, it would be amazing if changed clip data (for example modified ISO/temperature/etc) was right in that R3D without the need for an RMD sidecar, as an option
