  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

REDCINE-X PRO Build 16 and RED Rocket 1.4.28

Build 4 is the big one coming.. December sometime. Power Management, 1:1 joystick zoom, long exposures, timelapse, pre-record and ramping are just some of the highlights... which also inclined your image flip Will :)

For some people.. this is one of those builds that will be like a new camera all over again....
Hold the phone.... Did you just say ramping? As in frame ramping? As in the only frigging thing everyone said was impossible in digital?

huzzah! happy dance! so nice to have a camera which improves with age.

That's awesome new. We used a lot of time lapse in The LA Complex. I was at the point of buying a new D5MKlll but now I can buy more Red goodies instead! Thank you.

Ok so back on the actual topic of this post...

RCX Pro and Rocket Drivers... Any idea of a timescale yet for:

A. SDK support so third party finishing software can work with the Epic Monochrome footage.

B. Hardware debayer support on Rocket or GPU for Epic Monochrome footage.

C. Quicktime proxy support for Monochrome.

?

Really desperate to get an efficient post path/ onset transcoding for the Monochrome. Currently having to render at 1/4 res over the next day since that gives 1/5 of realtime full res takes 1/19th realtime so 8 hrs of footage (they like turning over on these fashion films) means 6 1/2 days rendering on a single tower!

Anybody knows how to display Meta for the frame that we stopped on and we are looking at?
From what I am reading RCX 16 shows only clip first frame Meta.

Need to see Aperture and focus value for any frame inside the clip not only for the first frame of the clip.

If it is too much to ask for real time display of Meta during the playback, maybe we could/should refresh the Meta display only when we stop? Please…please… next release…please:-)
