  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

RED STATION

These cf readers have been around for years you just need to put them together, the other readers can be achieved with a few cables. Just takes some research. I'm going back to watching my Season 6 of Macgyver.

I don't know if it is still too early for information like this, but I'd be interested to know the maximum drive height useable in the 2.5" REDSTATION. Seems the 2.5" drive manufacturers are stepping up their game, recently.

Hey Jarred. Any news yet on when the CF module might be shipping? Any info appreciated. Thanks.

Doth I detect SARCASM?

Not at all. I have heard about plenty of times in the past where corrupt footage has been blamed on third-party CF readers.

Red's support is excellent. If they determine your CF reader is to blame, I'm sure you will get a replacement ASAP.

Just wondering if anyone has received their CF modules yet?

correct. My Base Stations in the meantime is working great to keep my coffee warm whilst we ALL wait for FCC approval. RED INCLUDED.

The good news is Jarred said they are ramping up production so they can ship large quantities when approval comes thru. Its basically a formality and a fee and a wait. Not in RED's hands at moment, but FCC's. We will know when they do. Seriously doubt Jarred will forget :)

Thanks for the laugh Tim. :)

Hope to see these out soon. It will give me added peace of mind to see the cards go into something that looks like the camera and has the RED logo on it. That alone is very valuable!

now thats funny...

Some noise in the blue channel...
I mean ...blue cup;)

Let's wait... :(

Any word here? A friend of mine had some transfer issues about 2 weeks ago and narrowed it down to transfer error. only the RED CF reader is a lock and it's not available yet. Not complaining just wondering how much longer?

Bump. Three months since the last update, at which time the CF readers were completed and undergoing the (admittedly stringent) FCC approval process. What could take three months?

I think I may have lost our Red Station under some Beta SP tapes

Are the cameras going to have to go through this much FCC testing as well? Heh, I sold my old CF reader to someone with the contingency that they'd get it when my Red reader ships. Hope I can give it to them soon!!!
