  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

RED Shipping

CFPB covers, more than Fraud, it also cover Breach, Negligence, misrepresentation. Commerce and trade, protect you from Carrier negligence.

If it's the buyers responsibility from the moment it ships, why do we have to sign when the stuff arrives? That does not make sense....
My unqualified guess would be that it's not yours until the moment you sign the fedexslip, until that point you just prepaid an order.

Your signature on receipt has absolutely nothing to do with ownership.

If I send a drive to an edit house, they sign for it as proof that they did, in fact, receive it. That keeps them from being able to claim that "It never got here" should something happen to it in their possession. The same is true of a camera. Otherwise, unscrupulous people would try to tell Red, "My Scarlet never got here".

Guys, this is business 101. The camera is yours when you pay for it. If it's sitting in Red's warehouse after you've paid for it, do you think you can go pick it up? Of course you can. Why? Because it's already yours.

Looked at another way: If you, as an eBay seller, ship something to an eBay buyer and they never receive it, would you simply expect them to go away? Forget, for the moment, about whether you insured it or not. The buyer should certainly not have to pay for something thay never saw. That person is you if your Scarlet is lost in shipping. Ypu simply let RED and the delivery company work it out.

Ebay is not the real world. The rules for Ebay are determined by Ebay and PayPal. They serve Ebay and PayPal, but they do not apply to the rest of the world.
