what does it do, exactly?

what are the specs on this camera and price point.

Interesting. Could be the mid level tier camera to replace Epic and Scarlet, since Weapon is top tier.

Look at the post titled #4K4ALL

Jarred posted this a couple days ago. There's already 27 pages worth of comments there.

What is interesting is RAVEN is on the SSD Side Module.

Previously we were thinking that this might be an affordable camera that fits into the #4K4ALL concept, which I still think it might.

However, using when a name is on the side of the camera like that we are referring to the sensor technology itself. Perhaps we are also getting a glimpse into the future sensor tech.

Or perhaps it's new sensor tech that's exclusively for an entry level body?!

Also, some were previously thinking plastic, but this looking more aluminum for sure.

It would be a little odd for this to not be 4K at a price for everyone.

We went through this with WPN when the social media buzz hinted at one thing and then the reality was a little more sobering.

If you share details of your camera via a single hashtag the hashtag should be well thought out.

#4K4$

There are pics of Weapon with the "Weapon" engraving on side-ssd ...Raven could also use the Dragon sensor.

Going to cost $4,000 minimum for accessories to get this body operating.

2 v-mount batteries
2 120GB cards
card reader
base plate
top plate
touchscreen (or Foolcontrol + IPad +3rd party display)

Having said that I can't wait to see what sensor they put in there, is wifi built in? Weight? Omg so exciting!!
WANT!

I have absolutely NO idea what this new camera is all about and it sure did come out of the blue. And, while I love my Scarlet Dragon and my overall RED owning and shooting experience, I have to say that I have never been impressed with their design aesthetics. I guess that just means their focus is on performance and not looks. :glare:

Release the Raven!

Not that I'm interested in buying one, but I'm so damn intrigued.
